Visual artist and curator, Ana Fonseca graduated from Middlesex University, London (2003), and studied at the Chelsea College of Arts Foundation in Art and Design, London (1999-00).
With an artistic production ranging from sculpture to installation, the allusion to different historical periods is constant in her work, marked by cultural references that the artist shares with the observer.
Her main solo exhibitions include "Master Baker", National Society of Fine arts, Lisbon, 2019, Performance, National Palace of Ajuda, 2015, "Almack's #1", a permanent exhibition at Museu Nacional dos Coches (Lisbon) since 2011; "Viagem Pitoresca e Histórica a Portugal", Gad Galeria, Antiques design (Lisbon, 2011); "Put your thinking helmet on", Spazio Dual, (Lisbon, 2009); "Pega Doméstica II", Centro Cultural do Cartaxo (2008); "I.N.S.U.R.G.E.N.C.Y.", Galeria Luís Serpa Projectos (Lisbon, 2007).
In 2008, Ana Fonseca participated in an artistic residency of Fundação António Prates, in Ponte Sôr, and in 2013/2014 in another one in Ginásio Clube Português, part of the European Exotic project.
