Álvaro Rosendo, Lisbon, Portugal, 1960.

After 5 years attending the Escola Superior de Belas Artes de Lisboa, he became a founder-member of the Galeria Monumental (Lisbon, 1986) group and latter, with Paulo Mora, created the Maumaus School of Photography (Lisbon 1991).

His photographs were present in many individual and collective exhibitions in Portugal, Spain, France and Switzerland (since 1982) and he collaborated with many news publications as photo reporter (since 1981). Currently he woks as an infographics designer for the news magazine Visão (since 2004).

He is presented in numerous public and private collections, with highlights to Pedro Cabrita Reis Collection (recently acquired by the EDP Foundation) and PLMJ Foundation Collection and Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation.
